My child is actually very excited about the Blackberry Storm. She is only 13, but she does need a phone for emergencies...she decided to get the BB Storm, a touch screen. She is only interested in the phone-calling, texting, and music player. At the last minute, she thought it was more of a business phone and she was too young for it. But I am glad she does expose herself to new technology. A ten year old...wow, kids these days.

thanks for sharing. what do you think of the Blackberry ad? I thought it was a bit naff in terms of execution although the thought of connecting to everything through your blackberry is a nice simple thought.

very interesting post! amazing how quick kids pick-up technology.

i'm concerned by the photo tho', as i understand medical advice is to severely restrict the amount of exposure children have to mobile phones.

also, i recently read an article quoting three leading neurologists: each saying they only ever use mobile phones with ordinary earpieces - they're very keen to limit physical contact. i can't find the article now, but a piece on the same subject is available at http://occmed.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/reprint/50/5/366.pdf
